Dear Esteemed Reader;  Thank you for your inestimable time and feedback. Personally, these gifts are like apples of gold in settings of silver .💖😍💞 Amazingly, if there's a silver lining to the epileptic electricity supply in my community here in Sagamu local government of Ogun state, Nigeria, it's that I'm able to resume my inspirational writings after two years of experiencing  graphophobia...thanks to my life coach, the Holy Spirit for my healing! Sometimes, It feels really dark on the outside however I am lighted up on the inside..wow 🚨 .. a light shining in darkness and darkness cannot extinguish it! As the year 2022 winds down, my heart is inditing a good matter, pondering on the things my eyes have seen about the ingenuity of the Omniscient One. I remember on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at dawn in Magodo GRA, Lagos, for the first time ever, my attention was drawn to these two stars and a crescent moon in a stunning triangular pattern! ⭐✨ What else can I say? ...Psa...

"He must have been an angel or how else could I explain my failure to reach Mazi Okeke after almost a year of consistent trials? .." I quizzed myself. Still on the same matter, "A right attitude wins always".  It was my third week at the National Youth Orientation Camp (NYSC) at Okigwe, a city in Imo state in South East Nigeria. I rode on a high horse to the camp 😊 flaunting my profile which richly displayed my meritorious achievement as the best graduating student in my set (BSc) Geography and planning department at the University of Lagos. Also, I was a proud recipient of two premium scholarships, one from the prestigious University of Lagos (best student scholarship scheme for two sessions)and the other paid in foreign currency (Dollars) by American International Insurance company (AIICO) where my mum was a celebrated staff.  Three days before the completion of the camp, I had serious concerns about the poor and shoddy welfare conditions of corps members and dec...

"Mum, you will never be good enough." That was my eldest son's response to me when I confessed my fears about blogging. Eyeballing him, I stood still, lost in thought trying to process this feedback, then I heard him say aloud " If God tells you to start then start with what you have...stop hunting for excuses!". Gbam! I shrieked with delight. I couldn't agree more with his down-to-earth opinion. Like a flash of light, I remembered the scripture we shared together the previous day.  Romans 10:3 " For they don't understand that Christ has died to make them right with God. Instead they are trying to make themselves good enough to gain God's favor by keeping the Jewish laws and customs , but that is not God's way of salvation. They don't understand that Christ gives to those who trust in Him everything they are trying to get by keeping His laws. He ends all of that ".  Suddenly, I saw it! Yes, the light! I looked to Him and was radiant...

Hello 👋 My name is Oluwatoyin Segilola Awolesi, people love to call me ' Simply Segi, short form," SS of Africa ". Let me start by confessing that I'm a greenhorn when it comes to blogging 😉. I am acting based on what I perceive as divine instruction and not out of a need to make money or fame. That's the simple truth! I am a highly spirited queen married to a humble King, Adewale Awolesi and we are blessed with three vibrant teenage boys.  I worked for many years as a public relations and advertising executive following my completion of a Master’s degree(MSc in Sociology) from the University of Lagos in 2002. I had a stint in banking which turned out to be less than inspiring  before returning to the communications world. First as a trainer for Poise Nigeria and eventually as a radio broadcaster. I welcome you to share from my waterpot filled with revelations of wisdom, knowledge and understanding given to me during my night season by my Life-coach, closest fri...
