Credit Alert of New Mercies!!!

It's 12:41am😘 ( Current local time in Nigeria).  A fresh Sunday morning at home. For those in this time zone, I trust you know your life has just been credited with new mercies (Kindly wait for your turn if you are not within this time zone😊 ).

Even if you don't feel good right now, please respectfully acknowledge the receipt of this great gift and appreciate the God whose mercies endure forever. Remember, He credited you without your asking anyways. Much more, realise that your need alert came too late because God's mercy alert came much earlier.

"Therefore do not worry, saying, ' What shall we eat?' or ' What shall we drink?' or ' What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you..".  Mathew 6: 31- 33.

One of the reasons we worry and are unable to enter God's rest is that we tend to be need - motivated. We live in the now and focus on getting our needs met now; when they are not, we become anxious and all our prayers, our thoughts become centered on getting the particular need met. Unlike us, God is purpose motivated! He loves us and will not withhold any good thing from us...He however withholds certain privileges at some point from us so we could grow up....just the way we do to our children. No parent loves to see his(her)child moody all the time even when such is being disciplined..neither does God.

It's actually when we pursue purpose that our needs are being met, not pursuing "these things'. Nation prospers, businesses thrive, debts are settled, relationships are enriching when we pursue God's purpose. If we truly desire to enter God's rest, to be at peace and joyful, then we must not live our lives chasing after our needs, rather we must chase after God!

We must come to terms with the truth that Jesus did not come to remove all opposition or challenges from our lives but rather to give us a different approach to the storms of life. We are to take His yoke upon us and learn of Him ( Matt 11: 29). That means we are to learn His ways to approach life in the same way He did. Yes, we can if we cooperate with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus' life was not a bed of roses; He had few friends, the multitudes only followed Him because of the miracles He performed, He endured such contractions and criticisms from the Pharisees who were always around Him... despite all these, Jesus never gave in to worry, despair or disappointment. He was tempted in all ways yet He chose to obey His father...He did not sin, neither gave place to His flesh. The answer is simply because He set His eyes on purpose!

Today, as you set your eyes on His purpose for your life and His Kingdom, you'll be motivated to honor Him with respect and obedience!

The Message Bible for Malachi 3:17

God-of-the-Angel-Armies said, "They're mine, all mine. They'll get special treatment when I go into action. I treat them with the same consideration and kindness that parents give the child who honors them.

Yours Sincerely,

Segilola.

Be fruitful and multiply! Colors of GloryπŸπŸŒ»πŸ’πŸͺ»πŸ₯€πŸŒΊ

πŸŒ± Second Half Musings. Happy July...Be fruitful and multiply!  “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion...” Genesis 1:28 KJV  God blessed man with His Word. The Word is the Truth. However, man needs to be guided into the truth, to live the truth. That is why the Holy Spirit is given to His own— not just to give direction, but to guide us step by step into living the Word victoriously.  This happens through disciplined prayer, studying, and fellowship in worship with the Word — not out of duty, but out of love for God and to seek understanding — because understanding gives us access to hear the Spirit’s voice.  Over the years, as I learned the personality of the Holy Spirit, He taught me to grow in loving Him, myself, and in extending that same quality of love to others. Hmm... I'm still a work in progress o πŸ˜ƒ.  I deal with emotional instability by intentionally med...

Give Your Threat a Treat.

Give Your Threat a Treat.  "Don’t let the floods overwhelm me, or the ocean swallow me. Save me from the pit that threatens. O Jehovah, answer my prayers, for Your lovingkindness is wonderful; Your mercy is so plentiful, so tender and so kind. Don’t hide from me, for I am in deep trouble. Quick! Come and save me." Psalm 69:15-17.  I poured out all anxiety in my soul in a deep cry to the Lord, just like David. I knew that except the Lord broke protocol for me, I would be disgraced openly.  At that point, I was only a few weeks from my delivery date, and I had no assurance I would make it. Not for lack of grace, but because of the psychological strain from conspiracy and threats meted out against me by some senior officers at the bank.  They took advantage of my situation — a breach of bank policy — to feed their wounded pride and selfish interests. I had taken an “inflexible” stand against worshiping their ego on my duty post. I was awaiting confirmation as a newly ap...

Grounded in Love.

Am I dreaming?" Zera retorted, while being served high-class cuisine by a round-faced, statuesque hostess in the exquisite first-class cabin of a brand-new Boeing 747. She was the only passenger onboard, receiving pristine care. Suddenly, her inner conversation was drowned out by the baritone voice of the pilot: "Alas, we are still carrying out some checks... we will have to wait until this is over." Checks? This is taking too long! When will I be cleared for takeoff?" Then she heard a voice, like the sound of many waters, whisper to her, "I am disengaging you from your enemies... you are the cause of the delay; in fact, your mouth has been the cause of the delay." Zera woke up with mixed emotions. "So, it was a dream," she wondered. However, she sensed within herself that it was a divine light to her inner conversations with God earlier in the week. She called me early that morning to share her encounter with me. Unknown to me, her story would b...
