Chapters of My 'Real Steel' Fight.
Chapter 1- The Real Steel Fight.
Thoughts smashing thoughts, voices smashing voices... I could only muster the words faintly: 'I am tired!' Now, I'm vexed within, being grievously tempted to turn stones into bread π...this offer is too juicy to ignore or Am I power drunk? It sounds worse than it is, Lord; I am desperate!!!ππ.
Frankly, this is my own version of the 'Real Steel’ fight.
Watching the 2011 science fiction sports film directed by Shawn Levy, I was empowered and enlightened to garner some divine wisdom to help knock out my unseen opposition.
In the movie, Charlie Kenton, a former boxer, became a promoter of robot boxing. However, he struggled with his own personal demons, including desperation and distractions, leading to a string of losses.
He was able to grow and become a better person, overcoming his losses when he gave up his ego to humble himself. By learning from and cooperating with his son, he discovered the value of pure, undiluted wisdom, innocently displayed by the 11-year-old boy.
Lesson 1.
Some believers have a shade of Charlie's pride. They keep acting against their own good. Ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth, they remain impatient, dull of hearing, and unwilling to grow up. Ultimately, they become ensnared by slaves of corruption.
Truth be told, junk like pride, complaining, and anger comes out of us when God starts taking us through difficult situations to work patience in us. But many are still stuck in the past, crying over their losses and troubles. I wonder, why dwell on spilled milk? Why blame others for your troubles?
Unless you humble yourself before God and allow Him to heal you completely, you'll continue to spill the milk of your life. Then, you'll be wise enough to desire not just the pure milk, but the solid meat of His Word. As you're renewed in mind, you'll be able to discern and prove what God's will is.
Adversity, affliction or trial of faith doesn't weaken a believer, compromise does! Watch your company...evil company will always corrupt even the 'anointed'. By evil company, I don't mean only unbelievers. I also include churchgoers who distort God's counsel, manipulating His doctrine with human ideas and philosophies. I recall meeting a church leader with a theology degree in compassion, yet our interaction revealed a shocking lack of tenderness – no compassion whatsoever. The more you know Him, the more passionate you'll become about your higher calling, surpassing the pain or cost of obedience.
Unfortunately, many believers still don't know or understand that they are automatically engaged in spiritual warfare (for we wrestle not against flesh and blood... Ephesians 6:12).
Moreover, when a believer assumes God's mercy and indulgences as a license for a habitual sinful lifestyle and compromise, they become incapacitated to fight spiritually.
Charlie Kenton, played by Hugh Jackman, failed to succeed in the ring yet he later became a promoter and operator of robot boxers, known as "robot fighters" or "WRB" (World Robot Boxing).
Kings come, kings go. As it is in scripture, so it is in life: there's no guarantee that who is up today will be up tomorrow, or vice versa.
God puts down one and sets up another, often using the most unlikely people to do really amazing things.
So, don't despise your small beginnings, even if you fumble, or facing a trial of faith.
Job knew better. "For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again...π± verse 9- Yet at the scent of water, it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant ☘️." Job 14: 7-9.
Find out from God who you are from the scriptures not self awareness sweet talks.
You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29: 13.
Feed on His faithfulness while you wait for the manifestation of His promises.
Lesson 3
Though Atom (robot), whose Greek origin name means 'indivisible' or 'uncuttable' (names are powerful!), wasn't declared the overall winner, he certainly became the people's champion.
He gave Zeus, the formidable robot champion (whose Greek origin name means 'god of sky and thunder'), the most brutal beating of his life. It would take a really long time for Zeus and his creator,Tak Mashido, to recover from the devastating battering and blows... let alone consider a rematch with Atom.
Mashido's expertise and intervention couldn't secure Zeus a knockout win, but his robot did win by decision, albeit critically damaged.
Metal smashed metal, steel smashed steel. Atom had his fair share of deadly blows and downfalls, but he stayed in the fight; he fought to the last round of the epic fight and didn't chicken out!
In spiritual warfare, weariness is a sign that you need reinforcement, not a reason to turn back on God.
He courageously listened to and obeyed every instruction, getting back up right on time, giving Zeus no room to breathe or reinforce. This wore the champion down. Dramatically, at this point, Charlie directed Atom to taunt Zeus. Of course, Zeus fell for it, losing all control and more strength. Atom seized the strategic opportunity to mount gravely severe blows on Zeus, watching closely the directives from his coach, Charlie Kenton, who teamed up with his son, Max, to train him to become the people's champion.
Lesson 4.
Atom, though a robot, is the steel (mind) version of Max. Max discovered him while falling down a valley, only to be rescued by the buried body of Atom. Max couldn't ignore such a 'saving treasure' and decided to dig him out against all odds and took time to refine him. Lesson: Your real steel version emerges from valley encounters, and becomes exquisite through the fiery process of refinement.
Lesson 5.
Interestingly, while Max formed a wonderful bond with his father, his bond with Atom was truly magical! This was the secret to Atom's small victories, which ultimately announced him for the Big fight with Zeus. Never underestimate your small fights and seemingly insignificant victories, for they prepare you for the big one and cause your Goliath to take notice. You must conquer your Goliath before you can win your territory.
Dear parent;
Guard your territory!
Are you seeking God's direction for your child's training? Intellectual intelligence without spiritual intelligence, powered by the Holy Spirit, is a customized curriculum for slavery.
Be wise; don't be ensnared by following the Joneses to raise your child to serve slave masters!
Lesson 6.
Who is in your ear? Your hearing ability will outlast even your vision. Various medical sources, including hospice care professionals, reveal that hearing is often the last sense to remain intact before death. Bottom line: What you hear will outlast what you see, smell, or taste. Guard your channel.
You follow God's pace by listening to Him, cultivating a healthy word study life.
Lesson 7.
The amazing bond between the father and son greatly influenced Atom, and that eventually paved the way for Charlie to fight Zeus through Atom... (Who is your coach? You need one!).
Moreover, Charlie kept guiding Atom on what to do, and as the robot obeyed, Zeus went down! If Charlie had been arrogant and gotten angry with his son, Atom would have been misguided.
Needful to reiterate that you must cooperate with the Holy Spirit, the Life-Giving Coach of all ages (highly recommended π). The Spirit teaches emotional intelligence like no other and imparts spiritual intelligence, teaching and helping you to be slow to anger.
Remember, God is slow to anger yet great in power. Power belongs to God. To be entrusted with great power for His purpose, you need to be like Him - slow to anger.
A short temper will cause you to destroy people and things too soon!.
Firmly, I regained perspective that we are not to approach this good fight of faith in our own strength. Only God can defeat the enemy for He gives His army every supply needed to win. So, I understood why I must always be in communion with my Life-Coach, the Holy Spirit. He daily reminds me that Jesus loves me, who I am in Christ and the position I am fighting from. I have been redeemed and acquitted of all charges Satan leveled against me by the precious blood of the Lamb of God.
Jesus Christ gave Satan a thorough knockout when He died, was buried, and resurrected on the third day for my sake, thus declaring me a victor over all the power of the enemy. So, I am fighting from a place of victory, never yielding any ground to the enemy, for in Christ, I am more than a conqueror!!!
Fully armed with this light of my sitting position in Christ—in heavenly places, far above principalities, powers, and might (Ephesians 2: 6)—I was strengthened to pray wholeheartedly, releasing serial missiles down on the opposition."
If only you knew and understood that in Christ, whatever comes against you is no match for the indomitable life of God in you, then you would be still (We need to meet and respond to our battles with peace), and let the real steel character version of you emerge. The fewer worries/ complaints you cook up, the more creative and productive you become. ( Easier said than doneπ)
You got to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might so you can STAND!
Ephesians 6: 10-15 ( NLT).
" ...Be strong in the Lord...Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.o
15- For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared."
Just as steel is preferred to gold in construction due to its superior strength and ability to withstand pressure, power (God's wisdom, inner strength, resilience, and determination) will cause you to last in your destiny fights. However, self-pity is a sellout.
Succinctly, I could best describe my real steel fight in the words of Alexander Dowie: 'I can see the future far more clearly than I can solve the mysteries of the immediate present.'"
The golden counsel of Roberts Liardon (author of 'God's Generals') is so compelling: 'Every ministry (and I would say, every life in God) has a future. But we must believe in that future, or we will never take the first step...we must determine to hold fast to the Word of God and fight for what is ours in the earth. Setbacks are always present, but we determine if the problem is to remain permanent. Even though we are called we will still have to war against spiritual evils that are sent to destroy our vision and to discourage us. God's angels can help, but the war for our destiny is a personal responsibility that we must win.
Chapter 2- A Desperate Call π€
Destiny is not only a destination, a goal, a dream, a purpose, it is an inner process of becoming all you were meant to be...
As you strive for destiny, your vision may function at a higher level than your opportunity which can create frustration ..hold your destiny close to your heart...hold on to your revelation.." ( "Purpose" by T.D. Jakes).
Moments after 'My Real Steel' fight, I made a desperate call to God which escalated into prayer warfare. My soul was sorely thirsty and not even my husband, nor children, father, siblings, friends, achievements.... could quench it. I was in the right spot!
My answer came, and an overwhelming peace, like a river, drenched my thirsty soul.
Amazingly, the following morning, I received some good news..πππ. a juicy offer, an appointment packaged in bright wrappings. Alas! I thought my "answer" had finally arrived. I was in the euphoria of this excitement when I sensed the soothing voice of the Lord bursting forth from my heart, saying, 'No, that is not for you..'"
Haa... No! Again? Lord... I am tired!!! Silence ensued for the next few weeks. I had no more strength than to be still and wait upon the Lord, wrestling with every contrary thought confessing the Word; at some point, I thought God's private line wasn't working anymore... I kept talking, but He wasn't responding—painfully so!
I was anxious, to the point of being tempted to disobey.... Thank Jesus, I recalled my previous experience of trying to turn stones into bread and how the 'bread' got stuck in my stomach π. I had to plead for God's mercy before I was relieved of digestive complications.
So, this time I humbly surrendered to faith and patience: 'Not my will, but Yours be done, Lord!' I choose to trust You rather than fear. A life of obedience is indeed a consecrated (holy) one. It's sacrificial, requiring you to be both the priest and the sacrifice, tied to His will. His purpose influences what He approves or disapproves.
True service is a sacrifice, and ministry is no exception. It will cost you dearly, bringing you to your knees and to the altar, where you'll surrender with a willing 'yes' to God.
Hard truth: obedience often comes with harsh consequences. But look unto Jesus, and you'll see the joy ahead. Be encouraged, for you are not forsaken, but loved, blessed, and refined. It will all end in praise, with a refined you shining forth to God's glory.π π Remember the second coming of Christ Jesus is near, you can't afford to be complacent with your spiritual experiences.
Suddenly, after a few days, I had a fresh encounter in which I heard His voice clearly: 'Stop confessing you are tired; rather, say, "You are blessed!" I have been listening to you all the time you called... My line is always actively working, but I choose to respond when I deem it right.
Oh, the voice of the Lord is full of majesty! I was endeared to Him more, and worship was so delightful. The stream of knowledge that poured out from the Lord was incredible. I can't stop writing.✍️
Would you believe that a month after I turned down the 'juicy offer', I found out it was nothing but a package of corruption wrapped in deception? God is faithful! Believe whatever He says to you; it is impossible for God to lie.
As many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God. Spirit led prayers help us discern correctly whether a situation is a crisis or a process. A desperate call in a time of crisis may command God's speedy intervention, but not so in a process.
In a process, He sends doses of comfort when needed. He patiently and actively waits for the desired results, which ultimately lead to refinement in that aspect of life.
I understood through prayer that the fight for destiny is not about you or me; it's more than our personal warfare, it's about territories, and it's ultimately about souls. Satan fiercely opposes anyone who is passionately winning souls for Christ. He never gives up on such fights. When he is overpowered, he retreats for a season..."
..but Ye are of God little children... and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 .
Beloved, be in the know that since God intends to make you like Jesus, He will take you through similar experiences - hunger, loneliness, temptations, stress, criticism, rejection, and other problems. These experiences may include what I would call 'modified agony' or a 'bloody sweat experience,' similar to what He went through.. However, when you squirm whenever God says 'no' to your request for relief, please remember Hebrews 12:10.
For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. (NLT).
It is a blessing to be disciplined by the only wise God. Slaves, however, reject Him, His way and counsel, and thereby end up like their father, Esau, who sold his birthright for one morsel of food. Slavery is too costly!
Endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ; don't cheapen your salvation. Slaves seek only ordinary, monetary (and other earthly) rewards, whereas sons and daughters of God wait upon the Lord, trusting in Him and His plan, with right timing for both His earthly and eternal rewards.
The exceedingly abundant measure (of divine blessings, gifts, and giftings) is not obtained just by prayers, asking, or thinking; it is given by the Spirit of Grace, who dwells in us, to those who willingly obey and remain rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, no matter the circumstances. (Ephesians 3:17-20)"
Little wonder, David boldly declared, " As the Lord lives, Who has redeemed my life from all adversity..." (2 Samuel 4:9)
My joy knows no bounds as I greatly rejoice in my Lord, the Compassionate High Priest Who in His mercy, I find grace to help in my time of need.π₯πππΉ❣️❣️πππππ
Beloved; I sign off with the prayer of Apostle Paul -
" ..that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,... Ephesians 3:16
In His love,

This is a giant thought... Indeed "True service is a sacrifice, and ministry is no exception. It will cost you dearly, bringing you to your knees and to the altar, where you'll surrender with a willing 'yes' to God. "
