  Life of a Missionary.  Life is in seasons. Now I see better and understand better that my years in banking and broadcasting — radio, TV, newspaper — and even my creative exploits in music were preparatory grounds for my higher calling in Christ. Preach Christ and His finished work with joy! It took a great deal of struggle for me to accept my calling as a transformational missionary in Christ.  * Transformational Missionary * is more than someone who preaches or plants churches in another location. The focus is transformation  — real, lasting change — in people, communities, and systems, through Christ. The definition A Transformational Missionary is:  Someone sent by Christ who partners with the Holy Spirit to bring the Kingdom of God into every sphere of life, so that individuals, cultures, and structures are changed to reflect God’s original design..  It’s Matthew 28:19-20  + Matthew 6:10  working together:  “Make disciples of all...

 🌱 Second Half Musings. Happy July...Be fruitful and multiply!  “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion...” Genesis 1:28 KJV  God blessed man with His Word. The Word is the Truth. However, man needs to be guided into the truth, to live the truth. That is why the Holy Spirit is given to His own— not just to give direction, but to guide us step by step into living the Word victoriously.  This happens through disciplined prayer, studying, and fellowship in worship with the Word — not out of duty, but out of love for God and to seek understanding — because understanding gives us access to hear the Spirit’s voice.  Over the years, as I learned the personality of the Holy Spirit, He taught me to grow in loving Him, myself, and in extending that same quality of love to others.
