 Life of a Missionary. 




Life is in seasons. Now I see better and understand better that my years in banking and broadcasting — radio, TV, newspaper — and even my creative exploits in music were preparatory grounds for my higher calling in Christ.

Preach Christ and His finished work with joy!

It took a great deal of struggle for me to accept my calling as a transformational missionary in Christ. 

*Transformational Missionary* is more than someone who preaches or plants churches in another location. The focus is transformation — real, lasting change — in people, communities, and systems, through Christ.


The definition

A Transformational Missionary is: 
Someone sent by Christ who partners with the Holy Spirit to bring the Kingdom of God into every sphere of life, so that individuals, cultures, and structures are changed to reflect God’s original design.. 

It’s Matthew 28:19-20 + Matthew 6:10 working together: 
“Make disciples of all nations” + “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”


You must continue to be transformed in your mind before you can be a useful vessel of transformation. Your own submission becomes the platform for your equipping and training. Romans 12:2. 


For some time, I was following the course of "earthly security," counting the cost and dreading the vulnerability of following the selfless, sacrificial course of Christ... not having the right to choose my own plan. The more I reasoned and walked that path, the more frustrated I became — deep in the pit of struggle — until His mercy found me..His marvelous light shone on me and I breathed in real liberty from His spoken word to me: that my formidable support system is His mercy — yes, God’s mercy! And His grace is more than sufficient for me to will and to do all of the Master’s pleasure.

Like Paul, I eventually counted my richest gain as loss for His glory. I wrestled with the Lord, but glory hallelujah 💃🏿💃🏿 He won me over!

I intentionally cultivated the habit of abiding in the incorruptible, living Word of God — meditating on it and confessing it until my life daily reflected the Scripture, “The joy of the Lord is my strength” Nehemiah 8:10.  Man didn’t give me this joy, and no man can take it away! 

In a world filled with distracting inventions, you must doggedly hold on to the joy of the Lord and make choices in the Spirit, not in the flesh.

You can’t sell anything without being cheerful. They say “image is everything,” however, in the Kingdom of God, joy makes the key difference. Christ, the Master of the universe, is the joy of the whole earth, and His ambassador should be a joy to his own sphere of influence — no matter the weather. Accusations, persecutions, and temptations have no power to steal your joy unless you give them that power.

Joy makes the real difference between the lifestyle and results of one believer and another.

Joy is the sweet fragrance that draws people to you before they even listen to your message. 
Joy is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It flows from your being before it is reflected in your doing. 

Joy is the atmosphere of heaven on earth.



I am so favored because Christ did a powerful work in calling my husband to partner with me — no persuading needed! I trust Him to direct our children according to His plans for them... no force! 


From our home to churches... we see harvests of souls flocking in football fields, basketball courts, restaurants... We follow as He leads.


Beloved😍: We may never know in our lifetimes the full impact of our influence and actions, great and small. As we make up our minds not to be just another number on earth or a bad example, but to be exemplary and make a positive, lasting contribution to our generation, we need to strive to understand the nature and attitudes of true visionaries. We must prayerfully work on ourselves to build bridges and not walls, and fully accept the responsibility of reconciling the world to Christ — “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed” 1 Peter 2:24.

Prayer:
Father, I may never know the impact of my influence and actions during my lifetime. Help me to trust You that everything I do in Your name is contributing to the plan for Your Kingdom on this earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Give Your Threat a Treat.  "Don’t let the floods overwhelm me, or the ocean swallow me. Save me from the pit that threatens.
