Too grateful to be Silent!

"Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness"...Psalm 37: 3

This scripture came alive in me after having an edifying conversation with Mummy J (one of my mother's in the faith). I was enraptured by her testimony. She unknowingly stepped on a snake while taking a walk along a grassy path within her community. She didn't even know until a passerby screamed " You're stepping on a snake!..". The (God sent) crier fortunately had a cutlass and tried to reach for the snake but it escaped..a dark, medium sized snake..she summoned courage to carefully check herself...no bite! Mummy-J said she was in awe of God's miraculous protection. She's hale and hearty to the glory of God. I am too grateful to be silent.

God's allegiance to His cause on earth is undeniably visible. You will be wise to give your life to Christ and live for His purpose. We can extrapolate the graceful fluidity of those who trust in God and their good works of faith vividly by the manner they feed on His faithfulness from the scripture above. The supreme ways of God's provision, deliverance and even the dangers He prevents us from are stupendously unimaginable!

You may not understand why I'm too grateful to be silent ☺️, the fact is that mummy J and Joyce Meyer are two of a kind. Their faith and lifestyle inspire me awesomely. They are both generous givers, got iron backbones and are endowed with beauty that never fades. That reminds me...hearty congratulations to mama Joyce Meyer as she gloriously clocked 80 this week.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.  I'm forever grateful to God for giving her a voice that gives hope to people globally even in the midst of the thick darkness.

No tweaking, perilous times are here... the second coming of Christ is evidently soon. Our spiritual enemy, satan, knows his time is short and is waging war not against everyone who claim to be a Christian but those who keep the commandments of Jesus Christ and have His testimony. It takes faith to obey God, little wonder as the victory lies in our faith so also the attack is against our faith.

The hard question still remains; Will Christ still find faith on earth when He returns?

The global concerns over economic contraction pervades the air as cost of living increases exponentially, yet the truth still remains that the manifold grace of God is abundantly available to supply 'All' our ( for those who belong to Him) needs according to His riches in glory not according to the economy of any country. So, rather than worry about the fuel subsidy removal here in Nigeria, I choose to control what I feed my mind on. I love to shout it out;  The Lord is my shepherd I shall...I cannot want! It pays to feed on His faithfulness day and night.

It is mind-blowing to experience how God used a "naughty by nature" animal to communicate His truth to me.

Every morning I watch how my neighbor just a fence away takes proper care of her two goats. She rears them in an iron built enclosed structure; she cleans, feeds and locks them in every morning before going to work. Just a few days ago, while watering my plants at the balcony, I heard the goats bleating so loudly early in the morning, I laughed within myself saying  "What could be the needs of these goats ...? Hmm..everyone's got issues....even these goats..".  And after about fifteen minutes, I saw their owner came down to attend to them...ahh! so she heard their cries and decided to attend to them...this is hilarious yet insightful. I just experienced a natural learning opportunity.

This understanding jacked some strength into me to settle down at my work desk. The outsourced joy was just enough to encourage me to trust God to meet my own legitimate needs for that particular day. It felt like a long wait, I didn't feel like praying at all...I must confess I thought the word 'wait' was God's favorite word until after some minutes I sensed the Holy Spirit speaking to me  '"Are you surprised hearing the goats bleating? Of course they were calling for the attention of their owner to meet their own legitimate needs too. That's one side of the story but on the other hand, do you think their owner forgot about them? How so? Since she locked them in, She's responsible enough not to forget them there. You have seen how she attends to them every morning and also brings a bag containing their food to feed them upon her return from work. In other words she is always mindful of them and she never misses her daily feeding and cleaning routine. If a human being can be so compassionate toward her goats how much more valuable are you to me?  Don't you remember that your heavenly father is a responsible parent who is ever mindful of you? He is always with you, in good and bad times.., in fact He brought you here and He will always be faithful to take care of you as long as you let Him be your shepherd for He feeds and keeps you where He leads you..".

My heart was elevated by these words of truth. The Holy Spirit does a great work of reminding us of the truth. When we experience times of doubt and weakness in faith, let's be intentional about tuning our antenna to hear His voice; for the voice of the Lord truly gives us wisdom which empowers us with strength and direction.

And to my pleasant surprise, God came through for me...in fact, He was waiting on me to see the answer... unknown to me God had sent help to me much earlier than I expected through a channel I least expected. The solution was pretty waiting for me to discover it and behold when I found out...what a joy that filled my soul..I was inspired to share the goodies with someone God laid in my heart. God's blessings empower us to be more of givers than takers . I'm too grateful to be silent!

Frankly, those who lead themselves feed themselves at grave risks. Often, I see goats who wander about the streets fending for themselves and are at the risk of been stolen and landing in a strangers pot of soup as Isi- ewu 🍲😁(Spiced Goat's head). Some stubbornly broke loose from their keepers and ran away while some simply have irresponsible keepers. My neighbor chose to keep her own goats in a fortified place where she could be directly responsible for them and much more, she desires to train them to cultivate certain habits that would surely make them healthier with some sense of esteem than those wandering around. Sometimes she lets them out and allows them walk and play around her big space within the fenced wall but she's always there watching, no doubt they (owner and goats) enjoy one another's company. At some point, I wondered; what will be the fate of these goats if perhaps this woman is indisposed?

Hmm... unlike her, Jehovah Jireh, the great Provider can never be indisposed. The God of all flesh, creator of the heavens and earth is the source of life. His faithfulness lasts through generations, He is ever strong, accessible and dependable, never broke! Selah ( Pause and think)

"The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing ." Psalm 34;10

Even the presence and strength of the lion does not guarantee regular meals to his cubs. So those who seek God are those who are wise enough to understand that God's blessings are what makes us really rich for He blesses without adding sorrow. We really enjoy the good things of life because His presence guarantees His security. It's important we create quality time to seek Him. God doesn't have to break a rock before He gets our attention. Seeking Him is primarily waiting on Him. There are dynamic ways to wait on God, fasting is wonderful, quiet times are super. The key is to see yourself as a waiter/ waitress who is available to serve the  "The King of kings'. As God's 'waiter' you need to make your spirit, soul( mind) and body available to love and serve Him always for God loves and enjoys the company of His children. Waiting on God doesn't necessarily mean sitting down, doing nothing and just expecting Him to speak..No! It is more of being close enough to understand His heartbeat. So, if you're taking any action that is not pleasing to Him, you can discern and make necessary adjustment. So even while working, your mind can be so calm for Him to reach you. That way, your strength will be renewed and then you can run like Him and not be weary and walk like God and not faint.

His waiters do not pay lip service rather they are authentic people, feeding on His word regularly and carry the fragrance of His presence. They know His taste buds. They're well dressed in the robe of righteousness and know how to prepare Him a great feast with gratitude. Sumptuous delicacy of praise served with the refreshing water of pure worship and sweet offerings of prayers. All served with the chilled wine of the Spirit...God doesn't want to miss that! ☺️. In fact, He gladly responds with a big hug, pouring the oil of gladness on such a waiter.

As a good waiter, you readily access the provisions prepared by God for you to satisfy your personal needs and much more you'll be endowed with wisdom to build vital relationships that can support you to carry out the vision He gave you. Hence you'll continually soar on wings like eagles fulfilling His purpose and enriching other lives. Those who wait on God adequately are refreshingly empowered and are able to wait for His full reward. Pay day is certain for effective waiters. Are you an effective waiter or waitress?

Proverbs 27:18-20 New King James Version (NKJV)

Whoever keeps the fig tree will eat its fruit; So he who waits on his master will be honored.

Yours sincerely,
