Keep on moving in Faith (1)
Oh..will the sun shine today?
I felt used and dumped by God. Still ruminating on how my favorite fashionable strappy high heels ( not sky- high oπ) slippers abruptly ripped open from the heel while I was passionately delivering a message recently in front of a congregation at church... Ughπ©..but I felt an unusual inner sense of confidence to continue and never look down to check lest I distract the audience to do likewise and discover the 'mess'. So, I continued and suddenly the people erupted with laughter at a statement I made. God! That became my escape route. So, wisely, I left the stage when the ovation was loudest. I stylishly dragged my feet and cat- walkedπ to my front seat...hmm...thank God for the divine lesson on poise under pressure π₯° . I felt disgraced but I wasn't disgraced! My meticulous husband was in awe when I narrated the whole ordeal on stage to him...he didn't see any mess rather he convincingly said he was blessed!
Chai...God! Thank you for bringing out a message out of my messπ€©.
The following week I had another surge of mental pressure also in church...I felt abandoned by heaven at an urgent time of need immediately after teaching a Bible study in church on : The Effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man. I prayed so heartily yet felt like my prayers did not ascend beyond the roof not to talk of availing much...hmm...this feels so dark... π...a matter of teacher teach thyself. π±
Upset, I laid on the terrazzo (at home after service)which was emitting heat like an angry volcano erupting uncontrollably then I sensed a gentle whisper in my ear: " You are as rich as your purpose...you are as rich as your faith..."
Wow!!! Felt a sudden rush of adrenaline(action films can't give me this much!π€£)...the reassuring presence of the Lord tickled me causing the sun to shine on me gloriously. π π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³
I sensed the Holy Spirit reminded me of the scripture:
Psalm 37: 18-19 " Day by day the Lord observes the good deeds done by godly me and gives them eternal rewards. He cares for them when times are hard; even in famine, they will have enough."
Simultaneously, He directed me to study Genesis 26, where the scripture talks about a time when there was a great famine in the land. There had been a drought for many years, and the people were struggling to survive. God told Isaac to take a step of faith and plant his crops anyway.
Yes! I got illuminated...revived!! I got to keep on moving in Faith...must passionately continue to sow the good seeds God has placed inside of me in grounds I'm led to...need to always act in Faith to deliver the goods God has placed in me for the world no matter the weather for the Lord is near!.
Consequently, I flung open my testimony diary and remembered that God is a sure great rewarder of those who diligently (painstakingly) seek Him.
Humbly, I realised my need to know God more, believe Him more and understand His ways more....we aren't supposed to live by what we see or feel but by what God tells us. So, what you know is more supreme than what you see. That's simply Faith in action!
By this inspiration of the Holy Ghost I understand better that I can always choose to surrender to God's purpose not my circumstances. Later that day, the Lord sent help and delivered me from my anxieties.π₯³
Surely, faith in God works wonders! Not easy but highly rewarding.
That evening I sensed a knowing within my spirit that the nagging feelings of giving up on God's work I experienced earlier were actually spiritual attacks on my mind...chai...I had been hit!
Even as a believer walking in faith sometimes it feels like your light becomes darkness, your strength becomes weakness, what you preach against catch up with you, your failures stand face to face, shoulder to shoulder...
Beloved, you will not begin to understand the various dimensions of spiritual attacks and the sweet victories of faith until you are saved and filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. For you cannot but be passionate and well committed to God and His work except by the infilling of His Spirit, which also makes you definitely a prime target of spiritual attacks from hell. They will often snipe at you from their hiding places behind the facade of feelings and natural occurrences flattered with excusable human logic. It's through discernment you detect them.
Snipers are of strategic importance in warfare. Snipers shoot from a hiding place especially accurately and at long range. Research reveals that heavy super rifles (•50 caliber..) with ranges of 1,200 to 1,500 meters are now proliferating around the world. The armed forces all have sniper elements in their units. They are called designated marksman. Often, their targets are 'prime' individuals.
Snipers are masters of disguise who are able to hide in plain sight. They are deadly and often kill outside of a combat situation. He or she is trained for the detection, identification and location of a targeted enemy. Of course, a sniper caught sniping can't expect any mercy. They act with unfathomable passion knowing their failure often results in gory death. Often they think: " if the enemy is in range so am I".
Their sustained success can lead to intimidation and weaken reprisal attacks from opposition. Their targets are so critical to victory. If they shoot down a general from the opposition...hmm...what's left ?
Wars are not necessarily won by the huge strength and high towered logistics of a side, rather it's the side that has more capacity to endure and bear longer and can reinforce with minimal resistance that actually get the upper edge. War of attrition ( sustained attack or pressure) supercedes war of strength...hmm..the battle is not to the strong indeed! Furthermore, you need to be rich( not just money but faithful relationships...) to stand a good chance of victory in warfare. Russia and Ukraine war thrives on supplies either from within or allies.
In other words, you need to be rich in Faith to fight and overcome battles through the grace of Jesus Christ. You need to know those things that have been freely given to you through the Holy Spirit who is the indomitable everlasting War General of all generals. I call Him, the Sniper of all snipers who trains you to be God's own sniper, to detect, and become a sharp shooter who never misses targets. He is the omniscient One, the high tower who reveals to you who and where the enemy's sniper is hiding, instructing you on what to do to deal with such. Remember, "we wrestle not against flesh and blood...".
He reminds you of your limitless resources in God and teaches you how to watch and pray to effectively deploy your gifts without wearing out, downloading supreme warfare strategies, offensive or defensive as appropriate. Much more, He equips, counsels, guards, guides and comforts, heals your wounds and the hurts incurred during battles. Sometimes, the real enemy is within- impatience, bad attitudes, foolishness, ignorance can make you fight yourself. Be wise not to lead yourself into unnecessary battles...envy and jealousy will make you a ready prey for the beast any day, any time.
You can count on the Lord to only lead you to wars worth fighting...those that will benefit you with the spoils of war and much more, bless people and the Kingdom of Christ.
Just like eagles, we need to leverage our attacks( pressure) to rise... attacks from the pit of hell should spur you on to be closer to God, abounding in greater grace not cause you to become fearful and recede from your God given assignment. Remember life is short!
Eat to live don't live to eat. You need to live on God's spoken and written Word to stay strong in the Lord.
One more thing, daily ask the Holy Spirit to engage you, that's how to stay updated on your divine assignment.
The world is in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit who is the third personality of the trinity; He is God the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent and works in eternal harmony with the Father and Son. He is the life giver and protects His own.
He is my Life coach and often makes me wanna holla- God is good all the time π .. even in dark moments I receive His awesome comfort through His abiding presence and voice...He makes me laugh, keeps me strong...never a dull moment with my Lord. I love Him and I truly appreciate how he refines and refreshes my soul.
Wouldn't you desire to know Him? If you are saved, then pray, ask Him to fill you afresh in Jesus name.
" The Holy Spirit lives in us, and He can't get much closer to us than that. He doesn't come just to take up space, or because He has nowhere else to go. The Holy Spirit lives in us because He has a job to do, which is to teach, comfort, and lead us to God's plan for our lives. "...Joyce Meyer.
John 14:25-26 American Standard Version (ASV)But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.
Yours sincerely
